Colourful Glass Bowl or Dish

During this workshop you will learn how to create a beautiful glass bowl or dish. We have various different shapes and sizes available for your finished shape and design. Perfect if you want to let your creativity flow or have specific colours and design in mind.

You will be able to choose from different techniques to create your perfect design, these including using crushed or smashed glass, mosaic fusing techniques or cutting and layering the glass. We will help you use the beautiful qualities of glass to make an abstract design, a pattern or picture.

During this 3 hour workshop you will be shown how to safely use the tools and equipment and how to cut and break the glass. This class is also perfect if you feel nervous about the process amazing designs can be made using smashed glass and frit.

The courses are held at Glass Quarter Designs, Studio 14, on the site of the Red House Glass Cone, near Stourbridge, in the heart of the Glass Quarter. You can spend time looking around the site, which includes a visitor centre, other craft studios and a coffee shop, although tea and coffee will be provided. If you have any specific dietary requirements then please just let us know.

Your pieces will need to be fired overnight, but will be able to collect a few days after the courses or they can be posted for a small additional cost.
